It begins at 24 karat.
Pure gold grain carries the colour. Only the precise amount of alloy is introduced to give it strength without cooling its tone.
II · The alloy
91.6% remains gold.
The 22 karat alloy is melted, tested and poured. Its rich yellow is part of the material, never a surface treatment.
III · The hammer
A surface records every strike.
Repeated blows move the metal by fractions. The maker controls weight, curve and tension through sound and resistance.
IV · The hallmark
Identity made permanent.
The BIS mark and six-character HUID trace the purity and registration of every piece made for India.
